This award comes after GameSim successfully researched and developed a prototype during the Phase I of the SBIR topic Distributed Synthetic Environment Correlation Assessment Architecture and Metrics. As the Navy moves towards integrating flight simulators into common training environments, the importance of having a correlated, correct environmental representation is vital for achieving a fair fight and a high training value. In Phase I, GameSim proved out the architecture by creating a functional prototype called Validate. Validate is integrated as a plugin into GameSim’s geospatial visualization product, Conform. Game Engines can provide a powerful, low-cost framework for rapidly developing intelligence, simulation, and situational awareness applications. While the benefits of using game engines are evident to many in the GEOINT community, the process has been hampered by the difficulty of building environments for those game engines. On June 23rd, GameSim will be providing a course, Game Engines: The Next Step in Simulation with GEOINT Data. This course will be provided for GEOINT attendees and will focus on game engines and their relationship with GEOINT datasets. PMGS was launched in the first quarter of 2014. GameSim launched the geospatial visualization tool, Conform, in the first quarter of 2013. “We have been maintaining consistent growth in our service revenue. GameSim and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) enter into a CRADA

In 2013, GameSim introduced an innovative software product, Conform (gamesim.com/conform), which generates a 3D representation of an environment from GIS data (vectors, elevation, and imagery) in near real-time. The integrated scene can be viewed in both 2D and 3D, or exported, into other run-time formats. GameSim was interested in furthering their process of fusing together a single 3D environment by supporting additional data products (e.g., LiDAR, OTW video, and thermal video), to create a more accurate and rich 3D environment, while still maintaining near real-time performance. While GameSim had previous experience working with these formats, access to NGA through CRADA will provide the company with proper standards and data validated by NGA.
