Software Engineer I

Location: Orlando, FL

Description: Using C++ as the primary development language, the Software Engineer I will be responsible for developing prototype applications, implementing new features, as well as improving and maintaining existing code. A Software Engineer I should be able to code new features and fix bugs within existing features with minimal daily direction from their lead. Must be a US Citizen.

Job Function(s)

  • Actively participate in team working on project through verbal and written daily communications.
  • Coordinate with other groups including art, design, and production to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop well-designed and documented software within schedule.
  • Directly responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by manager with accountability and responsibility defined prior to the commencement of these duties.
  • Create clean, well architected code.
  • Does some SEII tasks with some assistance and clear direction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated and strong work ethics
  • Must be very detail oriented and can quickly identify technical risks and missing aspects of a technical design and does not overlook small details.
  • Must be able to test and debug own code without assistance from other Software Engineers.
  • Should demonstrate ownership in task and problem solving and follow all responsibilities through to completion.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others throughout the company.
  • Previous experience with Unity, Unreal, or other game engines highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ programming language.
  • Knowledge of C# within Unity is a plus.
  • Java server development a plus.
  • Strong Math skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent training and professional experience.

Web Developer, Frontend

Location: Orlando, FL

Description: Using modern web technologies, the Web Developer will work closely with creative design teams to implement web application interfaces. Must be a US Citizen.

Job Function(s)

  • Intermediate to Advanced level JavaScript (AJAX, Promises, JS Modules).
  • Intermediate to Advanced level CSS (Object Oriented CSS, CSS3).
  • Experience with Angular JS, Ember JS, or Backbone JS.
  • Proficient in front-end web technologies.
  • Experience with Source Control systems.
  • 4+ years of UI software development experience.
  • Experience working closely with creative design teams.
  • Appreciation for good design and an eye for perfection is a must.
  • Strives to make markup as semantic and accessible as possible.
  • High level understanding of the timeline of an HTTP request.
  • Expert in Object Oriented Programming and Module Decomposition.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based development environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good to Have:

  • Computing Science background.
  • Experience working with LESS.
  • SEO and Google Analytics experience.
  • Photoshop proficiency.
  • Experience working on consumer-facing software applications.
  • Able to communicate with technical and non-technical team members.
